After covid-19, the rise in remote work opportunities poses risks to a balanced quality of life, potentially resulting in seasonal affective disorder, loneliness, diminished motivation, and physical inactivity due to decreased exposure to natural light and social interaction.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that occurs at a specific time of year, usually in the fall or winter, when there is less natural sunlight, affects around 5% of the US population each year.

we intentionally envisioned a form that’s approachable, can be thrown anywhere in the house…

3d-printed an extensive iteration covering many forms and proportions, a friendly, approachable and endearing shape was created.

inner structure

using grasshopper to generate the inner structure for electrical components and provide stability. replicating mitochondria, the powerhouse of cells to symbolize renewal design.
